I am running the Birmingham Half Marathon in October with a team of alumni, staff and students from the University of Birmingham. We are raising money for the University's cancer research, which is making significant advances in the fight against this disease.

Cancer researchers at the University have:

Reduced early diagnosed breast cancer mortality rates by 7%

Found ways of diagnosing childhood cancers without invasive procedures

Run a drug trial, which could reduce the risk of bladder cancer recurring by a third

Those who know me will know I an REALLY NOT a natural runner but I plan to try my very hardest, so please make all the training worthwhile by sponsoring me! Your donations will go directly to the cancer research team at the University.
