Story

I am attempting to trek the highest mountain in North Africa, Mount Toubkal at 4167 metres.  This is my first biggy so please keep your fingers crossed for me!!  Although i think i need more luck with the whole toilet situation!!  I promise to come home with some barmy stories and promise not to bring home an abandoned child or toothless cat (i have that kind of potential) xxx

UPDATE: Week 19 of training and its getting easier as i get used to it and harder as we up the level - 14 weeks to go and counting! My boyfriend Mark (who is wholey to blame for the introduction of this barmy yet addictive sport), and i have been hitting the gym hard and climbing peaks in Snowdonia, The Lakes and The Brecon Beacons.  We are hoping to give Mr Ben Nevis a tickle at Easter so keep watch for the pics.  Training is hard but i just keep thinking 'so is chemo' and keep going!  I'm getting very excited as the weeks fly round - i'll give you another update just before we go - fabuloso!! xx

UPDATE: Week 24 of training and i can definitely feel an improvement in my fitness and pushing hard now with just 3 weeks left and 1 weeks break before we go. Me and Mark have split up so going even more solo now but still have me lovely buddy Ames for company and the adventure and experience will be just the same.  Have got a reoccuring ankle injury that is just going to have to be patient until i get back to get sorted but am sure will be fine!!!  Have been walking the Malvern Hills for some light training and got a little trip out to The Lakes next week for a change of scenery so i'll keep pressing on! Final update just before i go - am so excited and so anxious all together!!! xx
