I am running my first 10k on Sunday in Wigan.  Lucia and Rodge will be there to cheer me on. I hope to raise a few hundred pounds in an attempt to alleviate some of the horrific suffering of families fleeing war and persecution.

I have chosen the British Red Cross Emergency Appeal because volunteers across Europe are working around the clock to support hundreds of thousands of refugees as they attempt to reach safety. Supplies such as food, water, nappies and hygiene kits, as well as emergency medical treatment are urgently needed and your support can make a difference.
