Helen & Douglas House helps local families cope with the challenges of looking after a terminally ill baby or child who will die prematurely. We are a home from home for our patients and their families, and provide round-the-clock care in a warm, loving environment.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I'm participating in a c.50 mile sponsored cycle ride organised by my employer BNP Paribas to raise money for Helen and Douglas House in Oxford, a hospice providing care for terminally ill children and young adults and their families. As a native of Oxford I was always impressed and moved by the stories I heard about Helen House (and later Douglas House) and the help and support they have been able to give people in such a sad situation, so when the opportunity to raise money for them arose I jumped straight at it.

As a result I will be braving saddle sores, punctures, potholes, big hills (well maybe only a couple of small ones!) and worst of all the late September weather on my bike journey from Henley to Oxford and hope that my efforts will be duly rewarded with your generous donations for this fantastic cause!

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.
