When I attended the Style In The CIty 3 charity event at the Hilton Manchester in July with friends and colleagues organised by the Manchester Insurance Institute to raise funds for The Christie,we were all invited to join Barry's Project 150.We were each given £5 to raise £150 each by the 29th November 2013.

The overall aim of the project is to raise £150K for The Christie building,there will be a new high efficiency particulate air (HEPA) room as part of the Young Oncology Unit where teenagers and young adults undergoing cancer treatment can stay in a safe environment with an extra bed being provided for their family member.

As I'm not brave enough to swim the Channel or parachute out of a plane I've decided to host my own candle party at home on November 22nd to which all commission & raffle tickets raised will go towards this great cause.In addition to the candle party I am selling raffle tickets for a £1 a strip with prizes eg.fizz,chocolates,smellies etc.If anybody would like to donate,look at the candle brochure or buy raffle tickets please let me know.

I will be attending Barry's final collection of donations for Project 150 on November 29th and if I raise my target,myself and 2 other friends who attended Style In The City will have raised between us nearly an amazing £1000!
