Story
Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Cancer is a disease which unfortunately today effects many people. In the UK 10 children are diagnosed with a brain tumour each week. 7 out of 10 will now survive the disease, yet brain tumours remain the biggest cancer killer of children and young adults. Of those who do survive two thirds are often left with disabilities either as a result of the tumour and/or the intensive treatment needed to treat the disease. The work of the Children's Brain Tumour Research Centre is crucial in seeking earlier methods of cancer detection, providing routes to better understand the complexities of brain tumours and to look for ways to make cancer treatments safer and more effective.
I am hoping to raise money to support the Centre by running in three different events in 2017, these are:
- The Edinburgh Marathon on Sunday 28 May 2017
- Race for Life - Clumber Park Half Marathon on Sunday 2 July 2017
- The Berlin Marathon on Sunday 24 September 2017.
I'll therefore be aiming to represent the University of Nottingham's UoN 500 team who are taking part in the Robin Hood Half Marathon (and other events in Nottingham on 24 September) from Berlin, Germany.
If you'd like to support me and the UoN 500 team to raise money for the Children's Brain Tumour Research Centre please sponsor me through this JustGiving Page.

Thank you for helping us to give the gift of hope to children who are diagnosed with brain tumours, a disease which no child should have to face.
