Story

As many of you already know my brother Stuart's girlfriend Sam, suffers from Pompes disease (a form of Glycogen Storage Disease). While she looks fit and healthy, despite recently giving birth to my beautiful niece, she struggles with her condition every day. For Sam every day is a marathon. Sam wears a ventilator at night to aid her breathing and basic activities like walking up stairs, getting out of bed are done with great difficulty. This charity is very close to her heart and all of her family that support her everyday with the challenges she faces.

Some info about the Charity AGSD:

AGSD-UK provides support and help for individuals and families affected by GSD. It does this by putting people in contact, providing information, issuing Newsletters and holding Conferences and Workshops. Glycogen is a stored form of glucose, which is used as a fuel for energy. Glycogen Storage Disease (GSD) occurs when there is an absence or deficiency of an enzyme needed to produce or break down glycogen. GSD primarily affects the liver and/or muscles. AGSD-UK also put a lot of funding into researching treatments for GSD's - which so far have given GSD sufferers great hope for the future.

My brother Stuart successfully completed the Brighton Marathon (15/4/12) raising lots of money for this charity and i hope i can do the same. I understand that times are difficult but any donation big or small will mean a lot to me, my family and most importantly Sam.
