In November 2010 i will be taking part in a Costa Rica Trek with the MS Trust to raise money for the charity, and this is why...
..Not many people know (until now) but I was diagnosed with Multiple Scerlosis at the age of 19 and found it very hard to deal with. I was affected quite badly by it, not just physically but also emotionally. Its a tough thing to deal with, not knowing whats going to happen or when, and how badly it will affect you then and in the long run. I tried and tested a few treatments and none of those worked for me until last year when i was told my MS was getting quite severe and i had to try Tysabri (a drug that goes into me by a drip once every four weeks) or my life would change for good... So, four years later, with the help and support of family, friends, nurses and doctors, i have accepted my illness, i am going strong on the treatment i have been on this past year and have had no relapses in my MS whilst being on the treatment (yay) and i am now proud to say i have MS and it wont beat me!
I am doing this trek to raise money for such a great charity that helps and supports so many people in so many amazing ways. In order to do the trek i need to raise a minimum of £3000.00 sponsorship money for the MS Trust and would like to ask you if you could kindly dig deep and donate any spare pennies you have for a great cause.
