Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I will be completing the Yorkshire 3 Peaks walk on 19 May 2012.  This is a gruelling 24 mile walk that includes the 3 highest peaks in the Yorkshire Dales.

I am doing this to help a girl called Eve.  Eve was born with Quadriplegic Cerebral Palsy, this affects both her arms and legs. Eve, who is only 7, is unable to walk or even play with her baby sister Scarlett.

Fortunately, Eve has recently been selected for "Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy" by the world renowned Dr TS Park at the St Louis Children's Hospital in Missouri, USA. SDR is a complex procedure but will give Eve a real shot at increased mobility and a fully independent life, both of which are just a distant dream today. Eve’s family need to raise £100,000 this year, this will cover the costs of the operation and provide physio for the next 5 years which is essential in maximising the benefits of the procedure.  No matter how big or small your contribution may be, I would really appreciate a donation to help Eve and make my ordeal worthwhile!

You can read more about Eve and all the other fund raising events that are in support of her cause here http://www.evesjourney.co.uk

Eve is a very special little girl, the operation will completely change her life for the better.  No donation is too small and donations can be made anonymously.

Tree of Hope are helping us to raise money for Eve, ALL money donated is ringfenced for Eve and will be used to help achieve her goals.  Without Tree of Hope we wouldn’t have access to JustGiving or GiftAid.

Thank You.
