Story

Catherine is arranging a charity 'Out of the Darkness' overnight fundraising walk. It's a 12 mile journey through the night, where a courageous community of men and women like you will break the silence and bring the issues of depression and suicide into the light. The route is a circular route starting at Christ The King church in Thornbury, passing through the villages of Oldbury and Tockington and ending at Shelly's Cafe for breakfast. We will begin the walk by lighting a candle at Christ the King church to remember and say a prayer for Frances. A suicide attempt happens every minute of every day. These statistics are staggering and yet remain hidden and not discussed. The walk is to bring the issues of suicide, depression, and mental disorders into the spotlight. It is of course in memory of my beautiful sister Frances Warren. This is the road to a future where no one has to suffer in silence. My sister is just one face of suicide. Frances is not a statistic she was a daughter, a sister, an aunty, a granddaughter a niece & she was loved my so many. The walk, on 23rd November is in memory of my beautiful sister. Please share and join in, together we can help others & raise awareness.
