At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

The number of people suffering from dementia is increasing. It can be a very lonely disease, poorly diagnosed, stigmatised with sufferers and carers being isolated.  It is often the most feared of diseases later in life.  Whilst it does not just effect older people, they are the majority and we feel very strongly that those who have contributed to both society and often to ourselves through being our parents and grandparents should not be left uncared for and excluded because we are unsure of how to help.

What the Alzheimer's charities do is support sufferers "Live Well" by providing practical and relevant support to both sufferers and carers.

We are supporting Carol Boston with her bike ride across Britain in the the North stage of her gruelling journey. Those taking part will I know enjoy the scenery as well as the cramp and pain but will carry on regardless & think of Carol whose journey doesn't stop there.

Good luck to you all!!!!!
