After a long hard battle with cancer my friend Helen sadly passed away in July last year.

In a way of honouring her, my very best friend Carolyn Pyett suggested we do something to raise money for charities that research and provide support services for women that are affected by cancer.  It was due to this that I found myself signing on the dotted line and volunteering to cycle 400km across Cuba.  Following from a period of denial where I thought that we'd do a little bit of cycling and a lot of Mojito drinking did I actually realise that I will be cycling 400km across Cuba and will also be raising a lot of money to help this very special charity continue its vital work.
