Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
My husband John died on 11 February 2011 after a two year battle with cancer. One of our two beautiful dogs had also been suffering with cancer for six months and we sadly had him put to sleep on 10 February 2011. John died later that night.
In August 2011 I was diagnosed with breast cancer and, following an operation on 1 September, I have now completed chemotherapy and radiotherapy and have been training for the half marathon.
John was an amazingly positive and optimistic person until the day he died. He has been my inspiration to look to the future and make the most of life. I have set myself some challenges for 2012, but most importantly I want to raise money for cancer research to contribute to the fight against this illness that devastates lives.
