Howard and I have now successfully completed the 2013 London Marathon for the Blue Cross Animal Charity, which we decided to run after we lost our rescue dog, Poppy, to lymphoma just before Christmas 2011. She was a wonderful, lively character and we miss her terribly. 

The Blue Cross is an amazing charity, rescuing and rehabilitating thousands of unwanted, neglected and ill-treated dogs, cats, horses and other animals. No healthy animals are ever put to sleep and this hard-working organisation desperately needs funds to continue their excellent work.

Any donations you can spare would be hugely appreciated, making all our training (much tougher than we thought!) worthwhile.
