Story

Dear Friend,

On the 30th of March, I will join a small team of people attempting to cross over a 100 miles of artic wasteland with huskies and sleds in five days. This is more difficult than it sounds as the temperature can drop to around -30 degrees; the terrine is tricky with many up hill stretches that necessitate the rider running with the dogs and pushing the sled in front of them to enable the dogs to reach the summits. At night we will be setting up camp with the dogs using snow anchors and drilling for water in the ice. The goal of this journey will be to raise awareness and support for the Countryside Alliance Foundation. The foundation raises money to support projects that provide education and opportunities to enable children who are not as fortunate as many of ourselves to have the opportunity to discover the countryside.

I know that many of you have a personal affinity with the countryside either through living there, holidaying or having active roles in many countryside pursuits. Please consider how valuable this is to you and how important it is to share this with children who will be responsible for its future conservation and protection.

Thank you for taking the time to read this messsage. If you feel that what I am doing is something that you would like to support I would be immensely grateful if you could donate something on this site.
