Event: East Africa Appeal 2011, on 31 December 2011
We empower women & men in 18000 communities to end their hunger and poverty sustainably

Story

One cold wet day last winter at 8 months pregnant and feeling like a whale, I had a moment of madness and signed up for the 2011 Dublin Marathon on the 31st October.

6 months after having our daughter I am now into the long runs of the training programme and have managed to convince my husband Ant to run with me.

We are raising money for Hike4Hunger via the Hunger Project and in particular for the East Africa Appeal, an often forgotten famine and ongoing tragedy.

This is not about PBs or breaking records, our aim is simply to complete this (our first) marathon and to raise as much money as possible. Times will not be revealed unless they are sub 4 hours!

So please dig deep for this very worthy cause and donate now.

Many thanks,

Catherine and Ant
