Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
After more than three years of uncertainty I was diagnosed in May 2011 with Multiple System Atrophy (MSA), a progressive neurological disorder in which degeneration (or atrophy) of nerve cells in several (or multiple) areas of the brain can result in problems with movement, balance and automatic functions of the body such as blood pressure control. There is no known cure for this condition, nor known way to halt it's progress and there is no definititive test (apart from by pathology).
The MSA Trust are doing so much to help support those affected by this condition, and, more importantly, researching it's cause and treatment. Setting up this page to raise funds for the MSA Trust seems something positive I can do, with your help, in this negative situation. Click on the link on the left of this page to find out more about MSA and the work of the Trust.
I've been really touched and surprised by everybody's kindness and generosity in helping to raise money for the MSA Trust. My original target of £1,000 was reached in just 2 weeks, my second target of £2,000 is also achieved so I've increased that amount to £2,500. Thanks in advance if you feel you can help me to achieve this.
