WaterAid is an international not-for-profit, determined to make clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene normal for everyone, everywhere within a generation. Only by tackling these three essentials in ways that last can people change their lives for good.

Story

I am joining 99 HSBC colleagues around the world to trek 100km over 5 days deep in the Arctic Circle across Greenland, the world largest island to raise money for Water Aid.

Water AID is a great cause and can help raise awareness and money for those who need clean water and also keep our water safe including understanding the issues we are facing, challenges and impact.

It is a global crisis! There are 663 million people who live without clean water to drink, that is around 10% of the worlds population. 2.4 million don't have access to adequate sanitation. 800 children die every day from diseases caused by a lack of safe water, sanitation and hygiene.

The trek will take us through untamed land, some of which are untouched by human civilisation.

Personally, this will be a once in a lifetime opportunity to help those in need and I am ready for the challenge!

Your donation (big or small) will help make a HUGE difference. The trek = access to clean water for 26000 people and HSBC will match the donation amount.

Thank you for your support and donation.
