Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

This is my 8th Great North Run! sad I know but well worth the effort I can assure you. Earlier this year when I had my place confirmed I decided just to run for me! But then I got to know 'Mr George'. He is awsome, wonderful but above all a very very brave and courageous gentleman who is defying the odds that are stacked against him. He is being cared for by a wonderful charity called Herriot Hospice Homecare so I have decided to raise some pennies for them but most of all run for 'Mr George'. In the short time I have known him and his lovely and equally courageous wife I have been touched by the love and devotion that they both have for each other. The are both my inspiration and I hope that through the generosity of friends family and people that I have never met, we can raise lots of money to help Herriot Hospice continue on with their fantastic work.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.

With my very best wishes

Cathy
