The National Autistic Society is here to transform lives, change attitudes and create a society that works for autistic people. There is still so much to do to increase opportunities, reduce social isolation and build a brighter future for autistic people. With your help, we can make it happen.

Story

The Tortoise vs. The Hare (Travel Bug Challenge)

Thanks for taking the time to visit this page.

You are here as you will likely be in possession of 'The Tortoise' one of two Travel Bugs I launched in August 2010. 'The Tortoise' along with 'The Hare' were both placed in the CattClan's first Geocache situated in Farndon, Newark, Uk.

The goal of these two Travel Bugs is to be the first Bug to raise £1000 for The National Autistic Society - a charity that will, and has already, directly affect(ed) my immediate and extended family.

The story of the Tortoise vs. The Hare is a well known tale that involved a race which the Tortoise eventually won. But will history need rewriting in our Travel Bug challenge?

By currently holding 'The Tortoise' and being on this page you will have already taken two of the steps required to complete its mission. I leave the final part entirely up to you but its completed by you making a donation, on this website, of any given amount. Your donation will not only help Autistic children across the UK but make you feel better about yourself, as well as helping either 'The Tortoise' achieve its goal.

I thank you kindly in advance for any donation you make and can ensure this will go towards a great cause, safely handled by the 'Just Giving' people who run this site.

For people who use www.geocaching.com to log their cache finds and TB updates please enter in the receipt reference number you will get once the donation has been confirmed in the online commentary of 'The Tortoise' travel bug page. This is not essential but I can keep track of who is winning the race in this way.
