Once again I am raising money for Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital's Pseudomyxoma (PMP) and Colorectal Cancer Trust Fund.
The money we raised in 2010 (£5200) was used to help fund research into PMP and also to help equip a physio therapy room for recovering patients on C2 ward.
Sadly the instances of PMP seem to be on the increase with 2-3 people per million per year now being referred for treatment. This is thought to be largely down to raised awareness in the medical profession for what is a rare and devistating form of cancer.
Your donation will help to try and find a cure and to improve facilities for PMP sufferers undergoing treatment on C2 ward, one of only two specialist centres in the country......
