Story
Cerys, was born on 25th May, 2009. She was diagnosed with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS).
HLHS means Cerys was born with half a working heart. Without surgery, HLHS is fatal, usually within the first few weeks of life. She has undergone three open heart surgeries, the first at just a few days old.
She has continued to have surgeries every year for the past 10 Years. We visit GOSH frequently, they have been amazing throughout her life.
We thank all the staff that work there from the bottom of our heart – they do an amazing job and Cerys wouldn’t be here without them. Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity have set up ‘The Cerys D TeamGOSH Fund,’ which means we are part of an amazing group of individuals fundraising together to improve the lives of GOSH patients and families like ours. As part of setting up a TeamGOSH Fund, we get to allocate the money we raise to a specific area of the hospital. We will keep you updated as to where Cerys chooses to donate the money to!
Please help us reach ‘The Cerys D TeamGOSH Fund,’ 10 Year Target of £50,000.
