Story
To celebrate telent's 10th birthday and raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support, our corporate charity, we will be taking on our biggest challenge yet!
Challenge 1100 will take place from Monday 11 until Friday 15 July 2016 and will involve telent colleagues completing a 1100 km relay between our key sites, across the UK. More than 180 colleagues have signed up so far, to walk, run or cycle as much of the route as they can - and they need your support!
Every penny counts, no matter how small.
About Macmillan Cancer Support:
By 2020, almost one in two of us will get cancer in our lifetimes. It’s the toughest fight most people will ever face. But they don’t have to go through it alone. The Macmillan team is there every step of the way. From the nurses and therapists helping people through treatment to the campaigners improving cancer care.
Our ambition is to reach everyone affected by cancer – but we can’t do this alone.
From a treasure hunt, a team fundraising ‘Go Green Day’ or running a marathon to a pub quiz, everything you do to raise money will play a vital role in helping us achieve our ambition. Macmillan is a national charity, with local impact.
- The number of people with cancer is growing every day. Macmillan wants to reach and improve the lives of every one of those people so that no one has to face cancer alone
- More than two million people are currently living with or beyond cancer, and that number is set to rise to four million by 2030
- Donations make up 98% of Macmillan’s income – we simply couldn’t do what we do, and reach even more people who need our help without your vital support
