The Diamond Centre is a registered charity providing unique facilities to benefit disabled children and adults by having regular contact with horses. It is widely recognised that riding helps disabled people both physically and mentally - and remarkable improvements achieved by so many of those attending The Diamond Centre are proof of this.

Story

Challege12 - Event 2 - Richmond 10 K

Andy Connolly - Paul McKeown - Katy Collins

Hercules' second challenge was to slay the nine-headed Lernaean Hydra, an ancient nameless serpent-like chthonic water beast, with reptilian traits, (as its name evinces) that possessed many heads. Unfortunately in modern times there are no more Hydra's to sleigh... as such we have chosen the losely similar task of running a 10K to support the great Herculian, Katy Collins and The Diamond Riding School where she volunteers.

The run will take you up and around Richmond Park. The starting point is at Sheen Gate. The nearest postcode we have for here is SW14 8BJ. Please note this is not the exact postcode but should give you a close enough location. Sheen Lane is the street that takes you directly in to the park. View Streetmap. There is carparking here and toilets are situated on the right immediately as you enter the Park
