Story
After having a rousing good time last year, which was bolstered by the generous donations from our friends, family and colleagues, the Champagne Coven have decided to give the London Playtex MoonWalk Half-Marathon another go on Saturday, 11th May 2013.
Through rain in London, snow in Minneapolis and sun in San Diego nothing is stopping us from thinking about decorating our bras in four short weeks and lacing up our trainers before we embark on our 13.1 mile walk.
Unlike previous years where the MoonWalk started in Hyde Park, this year the walk has moved to Battersea Park Power Station, which will give us a phenomenal back drop for the start and end of the walk. We are excited to see the new route, walk by many of the famed London landmarks, ogle all of the creative bra decorations and truly embrace and enjoy the sisterhood of our fellow walkers.
We are raising money for the Walk-the-Walk charity, which funds breast cancer research and education. We all have close friends and family who have battled and continue to fight this disease. We hope that in a small way our walking can help in the larger effort to improve treatment and find a cure for breast cancer.
Thank you so much for your donations!
