6th London Legal sponsored walk · 17 May 2010 ·

The London Legal Support Trust supports the work of social welfare legal centres in London and the Home Counties. Funds raised are targeted to assist requests for help from the centres. This financial aid helps the legal centres overcome funding crises, develop new services, support appeals and improve their premises.

Story

'Thank You' to our designer, David Nason of Phoebus Associates, who donated the artwork for our T-shirts.

Thank you to everyone who has donated so far.  It was a beautiful evening for the walk which took us from Lincoln's Inn, along the Embankment, through St James's Park, Green Park and Hyde Park - and back again.  We are still raising money. The walk was organised by the London Legal Support Trust and 50% of the money we raise will go to them. To read about their work go to www.londonlegalsupporttrust.org.uk   The remaining 50% will be donated to the Bar Pro Bono Unit.  The Bar Pro Bono Unit acts as a clearing house, matching barristers prepared to undertake pro bono work with those who need their help. The panel, helping in every area of law and in every place in England and Wales, now exceeds 2,000 barristers, including more than 250 QCs - all managed by a small team of 6.  For more information on their work go to: www.barprobono.org.ukPlease support our team of walkers as generously as you are able.
