Raising funds for ABC for Reading, a charity set up to help pay for Irlen lense tinting for adults and children with reading and other difficulties due to scopic light sensitivity...in my case photosensitive epilepsy. £115 pays for glasses tinting; £334 pays for tinted co...ntact lenses; £4 pays for colour overlays and £1.50 pays for a colour exercise book. It is £70 for an annual check up. These costs are not covered by the NHS even for children or adults on benefits due to patenting, they are widely available in America who have paid to use the Irlen Method to treat patients with scopic sensitivity symptoms

Lenses are essential to me for everyday life and especially close work, TV, reading, computer use, going swimming, out in bright sunshine, going to the theatre or cinema, travelling when sunlight flashes through trees, going out where there are disco lights, flashing street lights at night etc...

My daughter Megan is also helped by wearing these lenses. It costs approximately £1'500 per year to pay for this. ABC for Reading can help me pay for this essential treatment.
