<p>Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.</p> <div class="description summary"> <div id="id_4dcb03f4a48845972042993" class="text_exposed_root text_exposed"><span style="color: #ff6600;"><strong><em><span style="text-decoration: underline;">You are obviously here as you are unable to attend the event on Saturday 23rd July @ 2pm which is a massive shame but thank you for taking the time to read the information below and making not only a donation, but helping to make a massive difference</span></em></strong></span></div> <div class="text_exposed_root text_exposed">Its that time of the year again and following the fantastic success of last year where we managed to raise almost &pound;5,000 for Northampton General Hospital Paddington Ward (Children Heart Specialist Ward) we have decided to do it all again!!<br /><br />Following more discussions directly with the hospital, we have agreed to split the money 50/50 between Paddington Ward and the Disney Ward (Childrens Cancer Ward), all based at Northampton Gen<span class="text_exposed_show">eral Hospital.<br /><br />This year, The Old White Hart will again be the venue for this fantastic day and headlining this year at around 8:30pm will be Northamptons very own COUSIN AVI (<a onmousedown="UntrustedLink.bootstrap($(this), &quot;42f5c&quot;, event, bagof({}));" rel="nofollow" href="http://www.cousinavimusic.com/" target="_blank"><span style="color: #3b5998;">www.cousinavimusic.com</span></a>). These guys are guaranteed to have you up off your seat dancing the night away to their funky tunes all night!!<br /><br />Other acts helping out during the day will be JOHN WINSTON, the young singer songwriter from Northampton who will perform a fantastic acoustic set and The Old White Harts very own CARL SPENCE will also be entertaining us throughout the day with his unique tone of voice.<br /><br />There will be entertainment for the kids also with plate spining, juggling and much more.<br /><br />We will hopefully hae a few local celebrities turning up to show their support at some point in the afternoon.<br /><br />For those who don't know, young Olivia Beales, daughter of Bish &amp; Lyn Beales was the inspiration behind me organising last years event when she had to undertake open heart surgery at the age of 3 months old last March 2010.<br /><br />Over a year later she has battled through this traumatic time and is now well and truely on the road to recovery and will hopefully will make an appearance at this very special day. The funds raised last year have already bought a heart monitor and scanner for the Paddington Ward which was desparately needed.<br /><br />The Paddington Ward are struggling to get new equipment and in order ot get everything they need, they require about &pound;100k. There is no doubt that we can't take much of a bite out of this total, but with continued effort and contribution from the public and events like this, we can slowly chip away at this figure until all the required equipment is obtained. this has got to be done one step at a time.<br /><br />I would be massively grateful that even if you can't make this event, that you invite your friends and tell people about it as without the vlaued support of you guys, we can't make the change to the childrens lives that they deserve. Please also remember absolutley 100% of everything made and donated will go directly to lcoal children at Northampton General Hospital.<br /><br />We are also looking for any raffle and auction prizes which we can get hold of and donated so we can raffle and auction them off on the day os if anyone has any they would like to donate, then please contacte me on the numebr provided on this event.
