The Rainbow Centre has been providing life changing services for children with cerebral palsy for 21 years. Two years ago they began work with adults who are coping with the effects of stroke, MS and Parkinsons's disease. Cerebral palsy can happen to anyone - it occurs at or around the time a baby is born and is usually caused by the brain being starved of oxygen. Every day five babies in the UK will be born with cerebral palsy, leaving the child facing a life of disability and dependence on others. The impact on both the child and his or her family can be devastating. However, with conductive education children can be taught to gain control of their limbs helping them towards independent and meaningful lives. Your support will go directly to help their children and adults.
