I'm doing this for my friend sarah and her 3 children.
I have known sarah for 6 years, her children are megan 9 Marcus 8 and rumell 2 and a half.
Last year Marcus was diagnosed with cancer, In january 2009 he was in remission and the future looked promising. After an Mri scan 2 weeks ago it was confirmed the cancer had returned, the doctors had to give sarah the devastating news that nothing could be done to help marcus anymore.
He is a bright, bubbly and cheeky little boy, has a huge grin that would light any room up!
The idea of this page is to raise money for the Jessie May trust who help children who are terminally ill like Marcus, marcus and his family will recieve no end of support and care from the team that work there and do this amazing work with them.
£9,500 is enough to provide care at home for one family for a year
£30,000 is enough to fund another Jessie may nurse.
I know i couldnt possibly reach these targets but if i can make a difference with your help for a poorly child then everything matters.
Here comes my part, i would like you to sponser me in giving up smoking.
I wont be able to do this unaided and will require additional support via champix, i know i can do this.
If i can quit the sticks then could you help me raise as much money as possible to go towards the trust that will help marcus and his family through a tough time.!
I will keep you posted on my progress once a week.
1st sept 09....have been on the champix now for 5 days, i have set my target date for stopping the cigarettes as the 8th september 09.
24th Oct 09...sorry for the lack of information recently, have been so busy, well i still havent smoked, its now been 8 weeks, my skin feels so much healthier, no horrid smell and tbh im surprised, i have been eating no end of lollypops though :)
