My story
The Alpine Challenge is an endurance snowboarding event covering 150km over two days as well as a 10km night hike in the Alps. It'll certainly be a challenge considering I've only managed around 50km in a day in the past! So it'll be hard but very much worth it! I'll have to step up my current "going to the gym when I can be bothered" training regime... Updates on that to follow!
I'm taking part in the Alpine Challenge with three of my friends and fellow snowboarders from Snowboard Club UK in aid of the charity Snow Camp. Our team is called The SCUKers and we have a team fundraising target of £2000.

Unsurprisingly training over Christmas hasn't really happened. Back on it for the next 2 weeks!
It has gone a bit quiet on the fundraising front lately, hopefully a few more people will be generous! Training is back on track after falling off my bike a few weeks ago, I'm sure the constant ache from the gym will be worth it!

Snow-Camp is a youth charity established in 2003 to provide disadvantaged young people from London’s inner-city areas with the chance to experience snowsports. As well as offering the opportunity to learn to ski or snowboard, Snow-Camp includes a youth focused Life-skills course designed to enable young people to reflect on the key issues that impact their lives.
