Event: Oval Charity Walk, on 21 August 2015
We are a club that offers great cricket to all boys, girls, men and women

Story

Hi Everyone,

I will be taking part in an approx. 23.5 mile charity walk from The Oval Cricket ground my local cricket club (Harold Wood) next Friday, 21st August in aid of raising funds for our Disability and Academy sections of the club.

Hopefully this includes the next generation of Ashes winners ;)

Harold Wood CC runs a very proactive and successful disability team which continues to grow every year. The members and their families can train and compete for free as the cricket club funds this and we are looking to be able to continue to support this part of the community.

We also currently provide coaching for 50 under 21 year olds at a cost of £80 a year, however in recent years we have noticed that number of youngsters have started to decline. To help try and regenerate this vital part of the club and the community we are looking to raise funds so that we can still provide the professional coaching and tremendous club facilities to the young girls and boys, but make it more financially viable for their families.

This is a massive challenge and by total coincidence this also happens to be on my birthday! So I could really do with your support to spur me on whilst I’m out there nursing my multiple blisters!

Thank you so much in advance for supporting the club that means so much to us. We'll be posting photos throughout the day so you can have a laugh at us.
