My story

Marathon over.

After barely any preparation, a torn calf, a pulled hamstring and lots of spaghetti - I ran the marathon yesterday.

I completed the marathon in 4 hours and 25 minutes, of which 10 were spent with St Johns ambulance after i ran into some sharp paving while trying to overtake a man dressed in a giant rhinoceros costume. This happened on the 19th mile when i was on course to finish in 4 hours and from there i limped and galloped towards the finish line...my x ray will show me whether i completed it with a fractured foot.

Apart from my injured foot, my experience of the marathon was incredible and one i will never forget.

On behalf of the Gauchers Association and myself, i would just like to thank you very much for all your generous support,

Charlie Gould.
