Charlie London to Paris cycle ride · 14 May 2013

The Brittle Bone Society provides support for people affected by the rare, and painful bone condition Osteogenesis Imperfecta. It provides specialist advice, support and equipment to people with the condition, their families and carers, medical and other professionals.

Story

All donations go straight to charity. I have funded the cost of the event and equipment myself so that every penny raised goes directly to charity.

The last time I rode a bike I think it wall a raleigh chopper with three gears !  The ride to Paris is 300 miles and will certainly be very challenging as I'm not exactly known for my active sporting achievments.. It will be a difficult ride and I'll face many uphill challenges (literally..) but I will be driven knowing that my efforts will go someway in helping those whos lifes are challenged by Brittle Bone in differeing degrees of severity. My sister in law was born with brittle bone and she has never ceased to inspire and amaze me with her positive attitude to life and the everday challenges she faces that most of us take for granted. She has and still does raise money to help other people with Brittle Bone and does not see her wheel chair as an obstacle in life. A true inspiration.
