We walked in the rain, we walked in the mud, we walked in the wind. We walked up hill, we walked downhill, we walked over boulders, rocks and trees. Eventually mother nature was nice and gave us some sun to finish. <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;"><strong><span style="line-height: 115%; color: #008000; font-size: 14pt;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">A few days ago a 'Save the Somerset levels' leaflet was posted through our door.</span></span></strong></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;"><strong><span style="line-height: 115%; color: #008000; font-size: 14pt;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">Somerset Wildlife Trust is trying to raise £100,000, to restore four old industrial sites (the equivalent of 26 football pitches) into nature reserves. This will help save the animals fighting for survival in Somerset such as King Fishers, Hobby swoop and Otters as well as plants and flowers</span></span></strong></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;"><strong><span style="line-height: 115%; color: #008000; font-size: 14pt;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">I am very interested in wildlife and the environment. These Nature reserves will be in Somerset, not far from Taunton, where I live, so I really wanted to do something to help Somerset become one of the most wildlife rich places in the UK.</span></span></strong></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;"><strong><span style="line-height: 115%; color: #008000; font-size: 14pt;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">So with the help of my family, I came up with the idea oF a sponsered walk. This ismy plan ;</span></span></strong></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;"><strong><span style="line-height: 115%; color: #008000; font-size: 14pt;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">On the 16th of July, I am going to walk through 4 Nature reserves ; Thurlbear woods, Black Rock, Long wood, and Velvet Bottom, thats almost 6 miles in one day! ...and I am going to do it all dressed as a Stag Beetle!!!</span></span></strong></p>
