Charlie's National 3 Peaks Challenge

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I must admit that when I agreed to join the 3 peaks challenge, I knew very little about it! I may even have referred to it as a "holiday". I have since found out that it is considered to be one of Britain's toughest outdoor challenges. Taking in the dizzy heights of Ben Nevis (1,344m), Scafell Pike (978m) and Snowdon (1,085m), we will trek around 26 miles and ascend to a total height of almost 3,000m. And we will do all of this within 24 hours.
Never having climbed a mountain, or indeed a very large hill, it will be a challenge indeed. When the going gets tough, I will draw strength from the knowledge that any money I raise for the Samaritans could help them to ensure fewer people die by suicide. Every 60 seconds a person with suicidal feelings calls the Samaritans. Whether they can be there for every person depends on money donated.
£15 would provide ongoing email support to one person
£20 means 5 calls are answered
Anything that you could spare in support of this amazing, life saving work would be hugely appreciated.
I will be walking in memory of my dad, Michael Pepper. Support from the Samaritans may have been the one thing that could have helped him.
Training for the 3 peaks challenge is well underway and I can already tell you that getting out on a regular basis, walking the beautiful Surrey Hills with my wonderful friends has brought joy to my heart and peace to an often busy mind.
Thank you so much for supporting Samaritans and for supporting me.
