Each year at Efficient Portfolio we try to raise money for a charitable theme, rather than a specific charity. This years theme is 'Near and Far'. Last year we raised over £5000 for cancer support (2 small charities, and 1 bigger national charity) and this year we want to do the same. 

So this year we have committed to raising money for Rutland for Rutland, a small charity that supports people in Rutland that are suffering with Dementia and cancer, as being a small county, many of the bigger charities do not provide the support that larger counties attract. 

We also want to support children much much further afield. Ultimately, there are children around the world that would give their right arm to live in some of the poorest conditions we see in the UK; either because of conflict or natural disasters. So we have decided to also support UNICEF, as a charity that helps children in many ways, such as 

• sourcing clean water
• blankets for babies
• vaccinations from diseases like polio
• providing education
• tents for temporary schools or health centres.   

Whilst this pages only raises money for UNICEF, combined with our Charity Ball, and Golf Day, we will split the money equally between the 2 charities using the Efficient Charitable Foundation.
