Coventry half marathon · 1 March 2015

We support thousands of people living with terminal illnesses & their families, in our three hospices, via our patient & family support services, and in the community through Myton at Home. We need to raise £12.7 million this year to provide our services free of charge – we can’t do it without you!

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am climbing Kilimanjaro in the summer with a group of students and staff from Blue Coat School, Coventry and each of us is trying to raise at least £1000 for Rainbow Ripples at Myton Hospice so that we can fund a staff member for a year.  Don't worry you're not paying for my trip...I'm doing that bit by tutoring and marking exam papers...I'm just after your money for sponsorship to make the trek not just another adventure holiday but something a bit more beneficial to others.

Rainbow Ripples offers a specialist child and teenage bereavement counselling service in Coventry and Warwickshire for young people who are facing the death or serious illness of a close family member. Each year we see students at school who are in this horrendous situation and I want them to get the best support possible.

My lovely friends Clare and Naomi helped raise sponsorship money by doing the half-marathon with me (or rather several kilometres ahead of me!) in March and I'm now planning various other fundraising activities.

So please do JustGive if you can and look out for further fundraising schemes throughout 2015.
