I am a Trustee of Rwanda Aid so I know that all funds raised go direct to Rwanda. All work in the UK is voluntary.

 

The problems which a country such as Rwanda faces are so huge and daunting that it is easy to be despairing and to wonder whether it is possible to make much difference.  Fortunately, Rwanda has a stable and effective Government and is has made remarkable progress since the devastating genocide in 1994.  At Rwanda Aid we believe that limited but carefully directed support can be the catalyst for much more far reaching progress and development.  We believe in tough love.  These people have to forge their own future, but they should be encouraged to know that those of us who are so much better off DO care, and DO want to help.
