Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I enjoy challenging myself to do things I basically think I have no chance of managing. Hence a half marathon! Back in 2009 I ran a 10k and clearly remember telling my friends to nut me if I thought about it again...so I wonder, why have they failed to stop me committing to running twice that distance in 2013?!

Probably because I'll be running for an excellent cause and to boost the funds of a fantastic charity fundraising duo -  Lucy and Ellen who will then cycle across Cuba giving the proceeds to Jo's Cervical Cancer Trust, Breast Cancer Care and Ovarian Cancer Action.

If you have read Ellen or Lucy's pages you will know that 2010 Ellen was diagnosed with cervical cancer at the age of 24.  Thankfully Ellen is now healthy, but she is always grateful for Jo's Trust for supporting her through that time. But Ellen isn't the only person I have known suffer with this disease too young in life. Holly Eatwell was still a beautiful young adult when she lost her cancer battle - and you can read more abouthe charity set up to continue her legacy here: thehollyeatwelltrust.com

So, while I haven't suffered, others have, and it's for that reason I have decided to pool any money I can raise into Ellen ad Lucy's team page - so that the chosen cancer charities can continue their work.

Thanks duuuudes!
