Brighton Half Marathon 2012 · 19 February 2012 ·

Turning Tides, previously WCHP, believe that everyone has the right to a home, regardless of the difficulties and issues they may face in their lives. We believe in showing those who need our help that the wider community are there to support them and to offer hope for a better future.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

We are running the Brighton half marathon in February which is going to be a huge step forward from the 6 miles I can currently run (October 2011) so we will be training each week to make it to the 13 miles. We have decided to raise money at the same time for the Worthing Churches Homeless Project as we are currently on placement there and believe that the project make a huge difference to people's lives. We know that this money will be used to continue to make a difference and so I ask of you all to give what you can, whatever amount you can afford. Worthing Churches Homeless Project have a number of projects, focussing on working with homeless people with the aim of helping them battle addictions and other issues in their lives. Being based in the recovery project, I (charlie) see people who are making small and massive positive changes with their addictions, social skills and relationships, work/education life and any other issues they may have. PLEASE GIVE and you will help to make a difference :)

Thanks very much for your support and wish me well with the run!

Charlie Barnard and Lottie McKinlay

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure.
