I am turning 40 this month and have little need of gifts and things. I can sit in my house and have access to everything I need. 

However, there are many people around the globe who are living without clean water, adequate sanitation or clean, safe places to give birth. Children cannot go to school because it takes them so long to travel to get water for their family they do not have time for education; babies die at birth due to inadequate sanitation in maternity wards; people cannot grow crops and starve because there is not enough water; children are continually ill due to open sewers and lack of clean drinking water. 

This does not and should not need to be the case and donating to Wateraid helps to go some way to addressing this issue and enabling people to be safe, healthy and self-sufficient.
