I am walking 24 miles around the coast of Guernsey in my attempt to raise well over £120 for The Brooke. The Brooke is a charity that cares for horses, donkeys and mules in South and Central America, Asia, the Middle East and Africa. This charity work that I am doing is for my Bronze Duke of Edinburgh award. The Brooke tries to provide a service for 24 hours a week and for 365 days a year but obviously this is extremely hard to do especially in such big areas. It's often very hard for people that live in such remote places to be able to reach vets and help for their animals and also most of the people would not be able to afford the treatment especially if their animal was in terrible pain. Each year The Brooke helps 700,000 animals that suffer from dehydration, malnutrition, disease and painful injuries. The Charity and myself would be extremely thankful for a very much-appreciated donation and i am sure that it would make a huge difference to the suffering animals.
