My dad, both uncles and 3 cousins have all been in the fishing business and over the years have been very greatful for the help that the Fisherman,s Mission has given them.
My Uncle Neil was a lone fisherman based at Looe. At the end of March this year he failed to return after his day's work, the alarm was raised and his boat was found hours later many miles off course. He had died whilst whinching in his nets. He was 57 years old.
The Chaplin from the Fisherman's Mission conducted his funeral. As his family we would like to do more than just say 'Thank You' to the Mission. We are joing other fundraisers on a Midnight Madness 13 mile nighttime walk across on Dartmoor on Saturday 16th July.
We would be so greatful if you could sponsor myself and Gerard, I knoe times are tough but even the smallest donation will help the Mission to continue to give support to Fishermen and their families when they find themselves in times of need.
