Further updates from Bob... Wow - what a fantastic event that was! So many old & new friends in lycra and the weather stayed mostly kind (the sun shines on the righteous). Whether you were cycling,  baking, supporting or giving, a big "THANK-YOU" from all of the Ginns and on behalf of the Rehabilitation Unit at Derby Hospital. You have made a difference.   Update from Bob...   <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-top: 0cm; margin-right: 8.6pt; margin-left: 0cm; margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; background-image: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial; background-color: white; background-position: initial initial; background-repeat: initial initial;">Kings Lodge (Ward 301) at the Royal Derby Hospital have the task of rehabilitating people that have spent some time under accute medical care. In other words, they prepare the patients and their families for life outside hospital. I hadn't really thought about this end of the medical profession before. Probably like most people, I was more aware of the emergency end of things. Well, I know now what a challenging job they have and how professional they are at it (me, difficult?). So I hope that you will welcome the chance to collect some money for them. To quote Bob this is "not perhaps the glamour end of the business but key to getting the best possible outcomes for the individuals involved." When we mentioned this bike ride to Bob his first response was "can I put my name down for entertaining the wives?" and his second was to challenge us to come up with a name for the event - the winner getting to cycle home with a bottle of wine.  The responses are still coming in and the official name will be declared on April 22. We all continue to watch and be interested in Bob's progress and are looking forward to seeing him on April 22 as much as the tea and cake on arrival!  So please dig deep and support this worthy cause so that they can continue to prepare and ready people like Bob to return to their homes and families.   Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure.
