Story

Hello everyone,

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page!

I am running the Brighton Marathon on Sunday 6th April in aid of Chestnut Tree House- the only children's hospice in Sussex. It is a fantastic place (near Arundel) that offers support to children with life-limiting illnesses, as well as their families. The expert care provided ranges from neo-natal care, support and respite, to end of life care. All those who are eligible for support from Chestnut Tree are not expected to reach their nineteenth birthday. Being the only such hospice in Sussex its care and facilities are hugely in demand and depend on people's support and donations.

My Mum has volunteered at the hospice since it opened and has seen first hand the amazing and invaluable work it carries out. It really is a fantastic place and any donation will be much appreciated and put to excellent use.

I have never done a marathon before and I can safely say I will never do one again. I am currently (a month before the race) up to 18 miles in my training and am hoping to complete the marathon in under 4 hours 30 minutes. If you are in Brighton then please come and support/ watch me drag myself over the finish line- summer has a habit of arriving on marathon day!

Thank you in advance for any donation!

Charlie
