It's the big one....

After a couple years of building up our running mileage; TEAM JENKINSON are running the LONDON MARATHON!!! It is undoubtedly one of the most famous running events in the world and completing its 26.2 mile course is actually quite terrifying to two people who enjoy the vino as much as we do. Never the less, we're excited for the challenge and looking forward to raising lots of money for charity in the process.

As the Subways are currently involved in a Pledge project with CLIC SARGENT we have volunteered to run on their behalf in a charity place for the marathon. This means we have set ourselves a mammoth fundraising target and we'll be doing everything we can over the next 3 months to achieve it.

CLIC SARGENT is a charity dedicated to helping support families of children with Cancer. As diagnosis is often a shock and treatment can last up to three years the families in this terrible situation call on the charity for help with clinical, practical and emotional support. We recently met some of these families when they were invited backstage at a Subways show and this has inspired the band to continue to work alongside the charity in raising funds.

We've had our places confirmed with only 13 weeks to go until the big day... It's going to take a lot of training and running in the cold wet miserable winter season of Sheffield so think of us whilst reaching for your wallets and helping make a difference to the lives of others.
