Hi!
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
My hair is long, really long. I haven't had it cut since I left Primary School. So you can imagine I am a bit nervous about this... I am having my hair cut short - not shaved D: - for the first time in over 6 years!
In January, the severe and long-lasting headaches I had suffered for years, were finally diagnosed as a Brain Tumour!
This was a shock, of course, but the staff at QMC Nottingham were fantastic and took the time to talk to me and my family and answer my questions both before and after my surgery.
At 16, I was lucky to be treated on E39, a Children's Ward. This meant my mum could stay with me the whole time. Let's be honest it doesn't matter how grown-up you are, when you're ill you want your mum! If I had been much older I would have been on an adult ward - no mum then! :(
That is why I am supporting the Teenage Cancer Trust. Their aim is to set up Teenage Cancer Units so that there is a place specially for us.
Will you help, please?
