Thanks for taking the time to log on - now we need your money! Please donate as much as possible for a great cause, safe in the knowledge that Street Child of Sierra Leone is a UK registered charity, and your money will go a long way in one of the poorest countries in the world.
Poverty in Sierra Leone forces the separation of families and the children end up on the streets which is where Street Child focus their efforts by providing them with the food, daily care, education and capacitates the poorest families to care for their children. By way of prevention they support local community schools which means children aren't forced into the big cities to get an education which makes them more vulnerable to living on the street. If you want to find out more you can on the website www.kilnsierraleonemarathon.com
On a personal level the marathon is going to be a huge challenge for me. Before i signed up i had never run more than 5 miles and as i write my longest distance is 7.88miles so i've got a long way to go. I have no intention of making this a regular thing so please dig as deep as you can.
Training so far has mostly been with Sam Arrowsmith with guest appearances from other members of the property team - thanks Mark, Tammie, Tom and Olly and come on Jeff you next! There are runners from all over company taking part in the race.
So support me, support Kiln and most of all support Street Child.
Thank you for your interest and in advance for any pounds, dollars or euros you can donate.
