Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I am the eldest of three boys.On my fathers side five very competitive brothers who all like to win,I am no different. On my mothers side four girls who like to do their best and look nice like all girls do.
From about three years old my parents saw I got tiered easily and as the month,s passed I would complain of tiered legs.
When I was six my parents took me to our doctor and for the next 18 months we I had tests and more tests.
When I was eight we went to The Centre for Life and here we were told I had Mcardles disease.
We now visit the Mcardles clinic and we have contact with other sufferers who have helped us understand this rare disease and with tips and advice.
Over the years I have taken part in sports like football and basketball but I had to give up as I could not keep up with friends and family.
I am thirteen now and I have a good understanding of what I can do and what I can not.I have mostly good days and my family and friends understand I may fall behind or need a rest at times.
The Walk over Wales is great as our disease is so rare no one we know has heard of it and the idea of a Dvd is fab.
I will be joining the walk at the last stage and I am hoping to walk 26.5 miless /42.6 km in three days.
I class myself lucky and with the right advice and some common sence I can control my Mcardles.
Please give a donation to help us produce the Dvd as this will help sufferers and their families in the future and to bring awareness.
